A dedication
This website is dedicated, with love and gratitude, to my grandparents.

They did not ask for this page. That is the point.
In this photograph they are doing the most ordinary thing in the world, and also the most consequential. Two open Bibles. One pen, still moving. No audience, no occasion — just an ordinary afternoon.
A church is held up by the ones who keep showing up with their Bibles open, who pray for names the rest of us have forgotten, and who go on believing out loud long after it has stopped being new. That is a kind of faithfulness you cannot announce. You can only live it where people can see, until it has quietly shaped the people around you.
This site was built so that anyone looking for this church can find it — the service times, the way to the door, a word of encouragement, somewhere to send a prayer request. It is only a tool. It holds nothing that was not already here.
But every tool is built by somebody, for a reason. The reason for this one is sitting in the photograph above. The care they bring to small and unglamorous things is the standard this was measured against. It is a far higher standard than any of the code behind it.
Lolo, Lola — thank you. For the prayers we know about and the many more we do not. For showing us what it looks like to keep going. This is a small thing next to what you have given, but it is yours.
“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
The foundation was never theirs, and I have never once heard them claim it. They build on it, and they make it easy for the rest of us to see where it is.
With love, from your grandson.
